Upgrading your software lets you make the most of your device

While you're working on your training, we're working on improving our products. That's why we regularly issue software updates with important changes to increase performance and reliability. Installing all these updates, including the optional ones, will benefit you and your performance.

On this page you will find the latest updates for your TomTom Sports & Fitness products.


TOMTOM TOUCH UPDATES

  • Double-tap to end an workout. You can now double-tap on your Touch to end a workout. To stop recording an activity, press the button once to wake up the screen, swipe until you see the Finish flag, then press the button again or double-tap on the device until there is a vibration and you see a check mark on the screen.
  • Add up your distance. You can now have your estimated distance from a workout to your daily distance metric outside an activity.
  • Choose your clock setting. You can now choose between a 12-hour clock and a 24-hour clock by selecting one of these options in the app preferences.
  • Stop when you want to. Say goodbye to accidental stopping of activities. To stop an activity, press the button on your TomTom Touch to wake it up, swipe to the Finish flag, then press the button again.
  • Enjoy better Bluetooth connection. You can now enjoy improvements to Bluetooth reliability and functionality.



ADVENTURER and SPARK 3 UPDATES

  • Enjoy route auto-rotation. Your route just got easier to follow with auto-rotation. You can now see your trail in the direction you are moving. This can be turned on or off in the 'Rotation' activity setting.
  • Track trails better. Trails now have a thicker grey line to improve visibility
  • Zoom in to your trail. Your watch now has more trail zoom levels for each activity type.
  • Use the compass waypoints. Waypoints have been added to the compass of your watch. It now shows the start of an activity, start and end of a trail, and distance from those points.
  • See your altitude and descent. In Freestyle activities, you can now choose to be shown the altitude and descent. (Adventurer only)

You can now share your TomTom Sports App activities via the NEW Social Sharing feature on your TomTom Sports GPS Watch. Let your friends know what you’ve been up to by uploading your workouts and fitness accomplishments to Facebook and Twitter.

24/7 Heart Rate Monitoring released on Jan 26, 2016

You can now track your heart rate 24 hours a day* with your TomTom Spark and TomTom Runner 2 Cardio and Cardio+Music GPS watches. Check how your heart rate changes over the day and get new insights on how your activities affect your heart rate. • For watches with a built-in optical heart rate monitor, we have improved the performance in case of sudden speed increases for running or treadmill.
• You can now start indoor cycling activities without a Cadence & Speed Sensor.

• You can now create a custom race on your watch so that you can race a specific distance or time.
• If your watch supports music, you can now control the music playback by moving up from clock screen. We also improved battery life when listening to music and music file compatibility.
• Sleep data can now be uploaded to the TomTom Sports App website.
• You can now use your watch in Japanese, Korean, Malaysian and Indonesian
